Our dishes are a fusion of tradition and innovation, with eggs always taking center stage. Chef Aleksa Žujović, a graduate of the prestigious L'Ecole Ducasse and with experience in international kitchens, has created a menu that will delight you at any time of day, because he believes that eggs are not just for breakfast.With us, every meal is a special experience. Our Chef

Aleksa Žujović was only twelve years old when he stepped into his first kitchen, it was love at first sight, from that moment on he never turned back. He spent his first days in the kitchens of Dijagonala 2.0/ learning from his mentor Mirko Stojić. He would spend any free time he had from school to come and learn about different culinary techniques.As years passed by, Aleksa realized it was time for a bigger challenge, where he would see if he was fit for this job. So in the summer of 2015, he decided to join the kitchen of Homa Restaurant, where chef Filip Ćirić and manager Vlastimir Puhalo were pioneering the fine dining scene in Belgrade. After spending nearly, the whole summer in Homa, this is where Aleksa realized that cooking was something he wanted to spend the rest of his life doing.


So, in 2018, he enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America, where he spent a year and a half learning the culinary fundamentals. From there he got the opportunity of a lifetime to go on stage at the best restaurant in the world Osteria Francescana owned by Massimo Bottura. This was a turning point in his culinary career, because here is where he realized what cooking is really about and got to experience it on the highest level possible.Due to the COVID pandemic that started in 2020, Aleksa was not able to return to the US to finish his studies, so he decided it was best for him to transfer to school to be able to complete his studies. So, in September 2020, he moved to the culinary capital of the world Paris, France where he enrolled at Ecole Ducasse which was founded by the world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse. Here he spent the next year and a half learning and discovering French cuisine. In 2022, he decided it was time for another challenge, he started his stage at the world-famous restaurant Frantzen in Stockholm, Sweden owned by Bjron Franzten.There he would go on and spend a few months before returning to his home town Belgarde. Where he spent a few months in the restaurant Langouste and realized that for him to continue to cook in his home town he needed to start something on his own. He realized that to be a great chef not only do you need to know how to cook, but you also need to know how to delegate but also own a business. That’s where the idea for Eggz came from. Aleksa wanted to bring something new and fresh to the streets of Belgrade. He was amazed by the NYC breakfast culture and he is trying to bring that culture to his hometown.
